About Me

I am a Systems & Technical Operations Engineer, originally from the USA, though currently reside in Sweden.

I have a strong passion for snowboarding, photography, music, visually stimulating art, and traveling (and getting lost or having side-quests on the way). I also have a strong interest in science based subjects, ranging from Biology to Engineering.

While a large portion of my current position involves Client Endpoint Management and IAM Management in Operations, I have recently taken an interest in ChatGPT, server-less infrastructure, and DevOps/SRE type workflows.

I am currently enjoying EQT AB in Stockholm, Sweden where I am a Senior TechOps Engineer.

I manage Okta and IAM platforms, MDM, and Acquisition Processes and Integrations. I have recently:

  • Seamlessly transitioned from Okta Classic to Okta Identity Engine, while implementing Device Trust across the company without disrupting our employees.
  • Successfully overhauling our JAMF Environment, ensuring zero impact or downtime on employee devices.
  • Took part in finalizing part of a major acquisition.
Senior IT Engineer - Epidemic Sound

Relocated to Sweden for this opportunity.

Jumped right in to overhaul the Okta setup, give Google Workspace a new lease on life, and streamline the MDM switch from Fleetsmith to Workspace One. All of this played a part in getting us IPO-ready with top-notch compliance and security measures.

Continued employment with Cisco following the acquisition of ThousandEyes on August 15, 2020.

Key Contributions:

  • Lead IT and business service integrations post-acquisition.
  • Integration and migrations of services from ThousandEyes Tech Stack into Cisco’s Core Suite.
  • Oversaw MDM transition from Workspace One to JAMF on End User Devices.

Provided specialized support from March to August 2021 during the transitional phase.

Senior IT Engineer - ThousandEyes
January 2016 - August 2021

Relocated to San Francisco, CA for this position. Initially as an IT Support Engineer, the first IT employee in the company. Subsequently, promoted to Senior IT Engineer.

Worked on major infrastructure/architectural changes and company wide deployments. Some examples of responsibilities and achievements include:

  • Took the lead on the Cisco Acquisition, overseeing IT and Business Services during the discovery phase and beyond.
  • Served as the go-to Team Lead in IT Engineering, providing expert-level support to our IT team.
  • Championed the company-wide switch from WebEx to Zoom, including setting up Zoom Rooms globally, which boosted satisfaction by a whopping 75%.
  • Orchestrated a major Workspace One (MDM) rollout for both macOS and Windows devices, accommodating over 400 employees with clever open source solutions.
  • Revolutionized device deployment with a zero-touch solution for macOS and Windows, slashing setup time from 200 minutes to just 20, a 90% time saver!
  • Innovated by transforming old-school HR and employee onboarding processes to automated systems with BambooHR and Okta, minimizing errors.
  • Played a key role in deploying FedRAMP backend components and drafting stringent FedRAMP policies, laying the groundwork for our next year’s improvements.
  • Pioneered the shift from traditional Active Directory to cutting-edge cloud-based IAM solutions using Okta and AzureAD, enhancing our Windows client experience.

IT Support Responsibilities and achievements include:

  • Boot strap IT and Help function, starting headcount of 50 to a headcount of ~500.
  • Create foundational policies (based around ITIL) for the helpdesk function and roles, including SLA, reporting data, priority definitions, on-call system.
  • On-Prem to Cloud based Identity Provider Migration (see link below)
  • Munki EUC deployment, and open source asset management database (SnipeIT) deployed into Google Cloud Platform.
  • Administration of Atlassian, Active Directory, G Suite, Github, Okta, WebEx, and others.
  • Deployed three new office locations (Austin, London, San Francisco) consisting of AV-equipment, networking equipment, in short time frames.
  • Vendor Management, including local and international vendors (US, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Germany).
  • Created and deployed Local Administrator Password Solution for macOS with custom python script.
IT Support (Intern) - LORD Corp
June 2011 - August 2012

Worked in an International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) & Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) environment. Handle Tier 1 & 2 support incidents, resolving forty incidents on a weekly basis for 3000+ employees in remote and on-site across four office locations domestically, and provide minor assistance to international office locations. Handled provisioning of laptops, phones, AV systems. Created documentation pertaining to improvements and issues.

On April 29, 2019, LORD Corporation was acquired by Parker Hannifin.
